Division Avenue Arts Cooperative Event Description:
Join Travis S. Childs for an evening discussion and public presentation about the upcoming Urban Permaculture Design Courses (PDC) that are sweeping across Michigan and the World! You will learn about the history, ethics, principles, and applications of Permaculture Design. THIS IS A DONATION BASED EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

What is a Permaculture Design Course?
Permaculture Design Course was developed by Bill Mollison to teach principles and foundations of sustainable design. All PDC courses offered throughout the world must follow the same format (see course syllabus and course outline ) to assure that the integrity of certification process is upheld. Permaculture Institute is among many other organizations that offer PDC. Aurora Design Solutions Inc. will be hosting a series of PDC in Michigan throughout Detroit, Grand Rapids, and rural locations beginning in July 2012. A.D.S. Inc. will hold twelve day intensive and six-month weekend PDC’s taught by legendary instructors and experts in the field.
At the 2012 Urban Permaculture Design Course in Detroit classes are offered that follow the original certification course developed by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren. Courses meet all requirements for certification. Participants who attend all sessions of this class and complete the final design project will receive Certificate of Permaculture Design.
